Overview

Ipamorelin is a pentapeptide growth hormone secretagogue that selectively stimulates GH release from the pituitary gland. Unlike other secretagogues (GHRP-6, GHRP-2), ipamorelin does not significantly increase cortisol, ACTH, prolactin, or appetite - making it the most selective and 'cleanest' GH-releasing peptide available. It is most commonly used in combination with CJC-1295 but is also effective as a standalone.

⚙️How it works

Binds to ghrelin receptors (GHS-R1a) on pituitary somatotrophs, triggering growth hormone release. Unlike GHRP-6, it does not strongly activate ghrelin's appetite-stimulating effects. The GH release follows natural pulsatile patterns, and the pituitary's somatostatin feedback remains intact - preventing supraphysiological GH levels.

Ipamorelin vs GHRP-6 vs GHRP-2

GHRP-6 was one of the first GH secretagogues studied but causes intense hunger and raises cortisol and prolactin. GHRP-2 is more potent but still elevates cortisol. Ipamorelin offers GH release without these unwanted effects - the trade-off is slightly lower peak GH levels per dose. For most users seeking anti-aging or body composition benefits, ipamorelin's cleaner profile makes it the preferred choice.
